And I need to break myself out of this habit.
The good, the bad and the ugly.
But lets stick to good!

Where on Earth has have I disappeared to? That is a good question. I was right back to it. Work jumped up on me this year and I still don't feel like I have my feet underneath me yet. I've been more than blessed with so many opportunities that were, well, dropped in my lap the past few months. Starwars Weekends was a HUGE undertaking and success. Everything from the Grand Opening Ceremonies, the Media Events, Press Release Events and the weekends passing were more than I could ever hope for. I can't thank the Production Team for on boarding me this year. It was an opportunity and experience I could have never dreamed of, and I hope it will help me for SWW 2012/Celebration VI. *crossing fingers* This summer I have been cast over at the Studios. Very exciting for me... not so exciting if you ever would like to find me. Fantasmic! is once again my home. [I've missed me mirror!] usually 4 nights a week I'm there, with everything else under the sun to fill my days. What's a girl to do with all work and no play???
Go on a Ghost Hunt!

St. Augustine is beautiful, historic, and haunted!

Just as a warning, if you decide to take a ghost tour in the middle of the night don't go when it is freakishly cold for the state of Florida. The trip was fun regardless. But yes, next time there will be no frozen fingers/toes when we go ghost hunting. We took two separate tours in St. Augustine. Both were well worth taking. The fist was a walking tour, lead by a man who was old enough to almost be a ghost himself. But his ambiance was an experience all in its own. He was very somber, but sooo knowledgeable of the history everywhere we went. (And yes, we asked a lot of questions.) The second was in an old hertz. It was neat... strange to be driven around in one of those creepy cars, but our tour guide was so interesting you forgot about how strange it was. She was all about white light, and good vibes. So different from what most people would think of when you say, ghost tour. But we weren't looking for spooky, we were looking for history and cool stories. Me, being the history geek that I am was running around the Fort and Lighthouse like I was a kid in a candy store! "oohs, and ahhhs, and look at that garrison, and omg a forge!" Who does that?! Anyways, the city was beautiful. But most of all it was nice to have a weekend with the girls.

I have decided, my new favorite sitcom is the Big Bang Theory. If you have never seen it... Well, you just should catch at least one episode. Quick wit, and a quirky cast make for the best TV shows! Not too long ago, the show held a contest to win a trip to LA and see a filming. Although we did well... I'm sad to say we didn't win. But I have to say; this is geek-chic at its finest!

9.2.10

With beginnings and endings to almost everything I've ever dreamed. What do little girls dream of? To be a teacher, nurse, ballerina... princess. What did I want to be? What I wanted more than anything else in the world was to be a power ranger. Why, you ask? The gadgets and gizmos. A life of adventure, danger, mystery. To save the day. To lead a dual persona. To be apart of something greater than myself. For all these reasons and so much more; I would play, pretend and expand my imagination. Well, until one day I was told: A.) I was a girl, and girls don't like power rangers. And B.) Super Heros weren't real. And so I moved on. Kept my dreams locked up. But how long can you hold onto a dream?

See, you don't hold onto them. They become a part of you. Growing deep down inside, dreams fuel your heart. They allow you to push yourself when times get tough, they give you strength you never knew you had. They let you BE anything you wish.

There are so many fantastic things that I have had the honor of saying I've done, not only here at WDW but in my life time. I know, not that I'm very old at all. But that's that amazing part. So much in such a short time. Anywho, this is where it all begins. In place where dreams become realities. For kids who've never fit in with the neighborhood kids and become best friends with an odd yet beautiful girl in Epcot's France who once had the same problem... For parents who save for 6 years to take their family on one amazing vacation together. For a little girl who was told her dream was a waste...

Well, I have a few choice words for everyone who didn't believe me when I was 7 and said; "One day, I'm going to have a morpher and save the world." Yes, and those words are!
ONCE A RANGER, ALWAYS A RANGER!
7.14.10 This night after a long day at the Studios was our Encore performance. Luckily I wasn't the only one to run from Studios to Epcot and defiantly not the only one feeling down about it. Of coarse I couldn't help but crying during Remember When. One last embrace. One last chance to see the few that still believed. Goodbye signs, cards, flowers... a cake. All gifts from dedicated little fans. For them to finally see us. Once brief moment of thanks, a moment to say good bye, that half a breath a connection in a tight knit group hug. And as the Power Rangers reported back to the Ranger Academy one last time to hear Andrew's mom say, "they have to go save the world now... tell them good bye." It was done. Off they went. Thank you Rangers; Time Force, Lunar Wolf, Dino Thunder, SPD, Operation Overdrive, Jungle Fury, RPM, and of coarse Mystic Force. You've made my dreams come true. It's finally time to say it.
Rangers, power down.

10.3.10

I have to talk about this years show before I burst. Holding in emotions can run so deep- to where they drain you, physically as well as emotionally. Encore! Disney's Cast Choir and Orchestra is a place where cast members, friends and family can get together not only to put on a great show but to give back to the community. This year we were honored to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern and Central Florida. Personally, it couldn't have been more perfect. To do something for the children that fuel our hearts and give us new strength when you can feel that our work is never ending.

This year, Encore has been a journey for me.

I've been keeping my self so busy lately trying not to think about much of life... Because I found that is how I deal with life. Just keeping me to my busy work but Encore is much more than endless hours of rehearsals, stiztsprobs, shows, and strikes. Its not about simply making friends, but discovering yourself and finding your family. Your "Pride".

Such an interesting feeling. I know what you all are thinking, shes the girl who sits in the back and keeps to herself. True statement. But in all honesty, I like the back row. You have the best view. And not just to laugh and make witty comments. Does no one ever notice when we start to sing that at one point or another almost every one in the room has taken a half breath to close their eyes. No one ever notices, but that's your brain allowing your body to feel the music rather than processing it. Powerful. Oh! how about the fact that certain people are always moving... Certain people have so much energy they can't sit still. Even better, when Clay gets to that point where he's heard something hes never heard before, every time we grow as a collective. After the song he wipes his glasses then puts his left hand behind his head and flips through his music with his right. Does it a few times a night. I know this is silly. But I would hate to miss a second of it. All this is part of it. The big picture that I feel like I've missed in my life up until not so long ago. Shadowland tells of a journey. How she leaves all that she knows in search for that one piece of hope. Not knowing where to look or how she might reach her goal. This song has so much meaning behind it. And I know I'm a sap, but yes, I cried during this song on all three nights. There is that driving force behind her. Knowing that her sacrifice will save her people. "Where the journey may take you, let this prayer be your guide. Though it may take you so far away, always remember your pride." Here, they are telling her, go but remember us and we believe in you. To know that someone believed her in her mission. To have someone finally believe in you. A small novelty that usually comes from family. But I've found finally found it. Fa she le su. My Pride. Thank you Encore for relighting my heart, and reminding me how to believe.

7.4.10

Once apon a time...
there was a kingdom. A kingdom vaguely remembered by the wandering warrior who left so many years ago. But the wind carried something of old. As if its memory lay in its scent. The first night in many where the night air lacked the taste of salt. Something fresh, youthful about this land. Yet, the night wind carried sadness on its wing. The sun set on the cantref as it always has done. But tonight the people gathered. And the kingdom await in silence.
5 thrones,
4 princesses
and a pyre...
This land of two tongues stood united since the crossing of the seas. But now it lay in ruin. Not ax nor sword, no plague or famine could destroy what was built, for the foundations of this beautiful Kingdom was strong. How could words on paper kindle the flames of destruction and devastation. Civil war took to the land. "Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean." -Shakespeare. But all is not lost. It was interesting because it seemed like we had more stuff than we could carry. Limits were made, but it would surprise you how much you would need on an all out camping excursion. After stopping for lunch, we hit the river...

Have you ever kayaked for over 2 hours? Let me tell you, your arms don't like that much... unless you're professional. Let me remind you, I am not. This was the usual rowing order. Of coarse they stick the 2 people who have never been in a kayak other than the bo-jank ones we have at fantasmic together. Yes, what a "learning" experience. If you can learning, crashing and thrashing in the water learning, then yes. Well done! I can't say that the ride out there wasn't all that bad. I mean, the alligator we saw seemed pretty friendly - In a "I want to eat you kind of way". We couldn't pass Wakiva Island with out stopping for a little fun...

It was beautiful. Lots of families and live music. Oh, and this little girl right here was the life of the party. Doesn't she look so cute and innocent filling that Bud Lite Lime can with rocks then tossing them in the water. All kinds of classy. But was had a nice time there; watching the rowers go by, talking and sun bathing. Oh what a glorious morning...
We headed another hour down the river when we finally reached our camp site. And guess who came to welcome us?! Oh, just a baby gator. I just hoped momma gator was no where to be found. It was really pretty. There was an old rustic tram in the swamp to our right and a hiking trail behind us. We went of a good hour long hike to find: Well, more swamp. But it was beautiful and relaxing none the less...
No phone, no facebook, no work. Just relaxing and enjoying time with those around you with a campfire, Hot dogs and s'mores! Here is dear Anna. She brought the wood and I built us a fire to last the night, great team work! Except when it didn't want to go out and spooked us in the middle of the night. "Who started the fire again?" "Someones out there" "Rake Man!" "Neil, go check it out!"
Just making sticks so we could cook our dinner and roast marsh mellows. Yummm! We should have kept some by our tent for when the raccoons came in the middle of the night! come midnight of so, there is the sound from outside. *for some reason we have bear mase* That didn't make me feel any better, because now all I can think is, "Lions and gators and bears, oh my".
Of coarse my comrades are a bright lot and put all our food and such under the kayak and flipped it over so they could not get our doughnuts for tomorrow morning. The plan worked! Unfortunately they got a hold of our garbage bag and decided to have a disco. It was not fun to pick that up the next morning. We took one final picture in front of the tent before packing up and began our super fun kayak ride (upstream) back to reality. Of coarse it decides to sprinkle for a good hour of our way back. But we just toughed out the rain. It was actually really nice because it kept everything cool and comfortable for us. Camping Trip 2010 was a success in my book. See you on next year's!

3.21.10

Talk about super heros! Last weekend was the Orlando Comic Book Convention. Now if you didn't know, I'm pretty geeky. I love to read and comics are a weakness of mine. who doesn't like it when the hero saves the day? Or when a girl is her own hero?! I know this is silly. But had to get a book shelf just for my comics. Well, I needed one in general and this seemed perfect. Instead of running to Ikea and picking up the first lame book shelf I could find I sat down with a note pad and pencil, ran to home depot then went to town with my hammer. Not too long after than I had my self a 3 tier book shelf but something just wasn't right a few hours later and one paint filled t shirt it was perfect! There are now 12 different sections representing the 12 major Greek God's and Goddesses. Not to say the Percy Jackson series was an influence but yes, yes it was. Amazing Book(s)... good movie. But too altered, no way to continue the story with a second movie and that is disappointing. I would have liked to seen it as the next Harry Potter.

This week was also the 5th anniversary of Disney putting out the Ultimate Force Power Rangers out in the parks. The our motto: Once a ranger, always a ranger" we came together for one night full of fun, food and laughs. What a good looking bunch of people! People came and went through out the night. Of coarse many fun stories of things that have happened on set, during DSMC, or just really baaaaad morphs. One big ranger family. And I'm so proud to be apart of it.
"take it!" <-Insert head nod here

1.16.10

2010 is not my year.
Update since last post. Christmas Eve was nice. I made dinner and had a few friends over to watch some non-traditional Christmas movies. eg. MST3000 Christmas edition: Santa Defeats the Martians. The holiday it self was not as bad as it has been in years past. A little lonely. But getting by. Mostly working to help the season pass. New Years was quiet. Not shortly after midnight my roommate and I were sound asleep.

The new year started off by me deciding to do something nice for myself and take a mini vacation to Macon, GA to see my 7yr old little friend Wesley and his parents. Needless to say the day after my arrival both Wesley and I came down with something. Oh yes. It was salmonella poisoning. I made the (near 6 hour drive there) home in just under 5... saying under the weather is not justice for the terribleness that was those few days. Then, I make it back on track. Work work work. and of coarse the morning of the marathon it is 6am, 28 degrees - and I'm in pink spandex. Not much to keep a gal warm. Except for the little fire of anger still left from being stuck working with your EX, and JUST your ex for 7 hours in the cold. From there it started. The head aches, the stuffiness, and of coarse the sore throat. From there the voice slowly gave, as it does every year. And I thought Ariel had it bad losing her voice to an evil sea witch. I lost mine to mother nature. I was out for the count. What the doctors thought was pneumonia turned out to be a fairly bad infection. On top of the lack of communication, I was heavily medicated for both my infection that I caught and laryngitis I was unable to do mostly anything including sitting up. It was sleep it off or feel like I got hit by a train.

I thought I had it bad...

The past few years my aunt has been battling cancer. Lung cancer as it started out, but the unstoppable enemy within has taken its toll. She is a strong woman. Lived by herself and has been doing very well up until last week, just taking on everything this beast can dish out. Last week she was admitted into the hospital. And yesterday she was released... released into our care. She is spending the last precious weeks in the living room of my parents home up in Chicago. It reminds me so much of how my grandmother was... and I try not to make the connection. I try not to think what is going to happen as I leave. We have 24 hours care. Nurses in and out of the house. No matter what I do, what I say I can not make this any easier for Aunt - my parents - my Emos - my nephews. I have to be emotionally detached so I can sit and listen to the doctors explain the happenings. What she has to take, and why so that when my mother regains her composure everything that was said was not lost with all the sobbing. Once again, understanding and using medical equipment become second nature. I can not stay long. And that hurts. It hurts to not be there... it hurts to watch lives crumble before you. It makes me angry to know that nothing I can do can change a thing. I've turned lives around. I've granted wishes - miracles to families I have absolutely no connection with and there is nothing I could do for one person that I care about. In the big old universe of ours... I feel pretty small. Pretty helpless. And I have always been the one to stand and make things happen. But why not now? No matter how hard I fight, this battle is already in the history books. I guess there is nothing more to say... I will be better. I will be back. I need time. Space. "so grasp your courage and bind it to your hearts with bands of steal..."

I 'm sorry for being M.I.A. for so long. I don't know what I need right now. But I'm searching for it. Blessings, everyone.

12.4.09

Singing with Celine Dion!!!!

Today Encore! Disney World Cast Choir and Orchestra sang with the world famous Celine Dion at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This will be aired on ABC, Christmas morning. Look for your favorite people!!! ummm on Celine's left hand side... second riser and about 3 people in. You'll find Sarah and me!! ok, and 200 other cast members. The filming was amazing, but my favorite part of the day was when Billy asked if there was any newly weds in the audience and this crazy looking girl on the 3rd floor balcony starts waving her arms in the air. Billy asks where her husband is, and she disappears. Comes back to start waving... then hides behind the security guard. She married the security guard?? Who's like 20 years older than him?! No. It's my friend Lindsey who, come to find out, was waving frantically at me.

It is time to sleep... sleep to dream.

Oh, And yay Cally!! It was awesome seeing you on the Price is Right today! Blessings on your journey and new life in Wisconsin.

November has come and gone. Can't believe Christmas is right around the corner. The parks are getting crazy again. Those are always fun times. But I love Christmas at Disney. For some reason, Disney just does it right. I kicked off the season the other day by stopping by at the Osborne Lights at DHS. It was my runner-up, but the Archway at Epcot is gone so now its on top of my list for seasonal things to do here. Another favorite of mine is the giant gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. And if you sit around, every so often they come around and let you eat extra shingles they didn't use for house :)

Thanksgiving was small. And more importantly with good people. We had a small dinner at Carly's and played games all night. Of coarse, most people had to work in the morning. And so it was an early night for all. I'm just glad I had a place to go. Not everyone can say that.

Yesterday was, in fact my birthday. It was nice. I spent the morning as a girl should - shopping! Of coarse I had to work. But only Fantasmic. If I were to have been anywhere, I would have wanted to be with my Fant Family. 2 shows, and then we began the night :) We made it back to my house and finished out the night here. I was glad to had company. It's been quite in the house since both my roommates are gone.

My schedule has been very crazy this month. But I think things are going back to normal now. I seem to have a consistent 6 days of Epcot again. Back in the swing of things!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

11.2.09

Jackie = the most beautiful woman (inside and out) I think I've ever met!

Let's play catch up; Jackie and Chris are married, Kendall had her fashion show, Halloween came and went, F&W is almost over, Christmas lights just exploded all over the streets of America, Sarah Harold is taking a Tokyo contract and Sara finally made it to Spain...

Of coarse its hard when your best friend is away for months at a time... Ok, so Sara has another 6 months to go on her tour and I can't wait for her to get back. Above is a picture of her in Spain! Kendall will be visiting the DL4 cast in France around Christmas time. And me? Oh I'll just be working my life away. I'm on 6 days as it is and I'm just searching for a good point in time when I can go visit my family.

Kendall's fashion show was amazing!! There was an amazing turn out. And of coarse, walking in Dr. Phillips she gets spotted and complimented on her newest line. Here's a link to the show: Kendall's was the first to walk the runway :)

http://fashion-thelike.blogspot.com/

As for me: The holiday season is almost in full swing. I love Thanksgiving. To be honest, it's my favorite time of year. There is no pressure to make everything perfect, no stress about presents (because we all know, no one has money). And most of all, its about family coming together to be thankful for one another. What more do you need? A TURKEY!

This week on the agenda - things are normal-ish. 5 full days in China. This morning was all sorts of crazy with the filming and everything! Everyone look out for your favorite princesses on "Cake Boss" - TLC. Not too sure when it will be on, but I'll keep everyone updated as I hear more. Last night was the first game of the Fall play-offs for softball. Your Vanilla Gorillas won the Donald Duck Division again this year, and so we were sent to the Mickey League for play offs.

"The Jedi Council has declared it time to take the Jedi Trials... I am ready, master."

Next week is all sorts of crazy. I've got 3 days of rehearsal and only 2 normal days. (Wed & Fri) What is normal any more? I'm looking forward to overnights! Thats my favorite part of learning something new... Ok, so you might have overnights right into an Epcot shift into your approval overnight right back into another day at Epcot into Fantasmic! But to watching the sun come up over the mountain, the hat, the castle... Somethings most people will never be able to see, those are things I will never forget.

Lets see what tomorrow will bring!

10.17.09

"You took away my victory..."
"No! It was so nice, we lit lots of candles, and had a little pumkin carving to complete the evening.

Kendall is going crazy with the sewing machine. Her fashion show is in less than a week, and she is in the mist of finalizing her newest collection! I on the other had am tip-toe-ing around pins and fabric, well, everywhere in the house! The show will be at the Mall of Millenia this Saturday :) 7pm. That also means we wil be having visitors in the house for a while. io.

10.5.09

Good morning, starshine.

Our attmpts of jumpping came to a quick end.

The Food and Wine season is in full swing. It starts in Pittsburgh. About 7hours in the airport... And surprisingly refreshing. It was nice to take some time and collect my thoughts. Plan the duties I knew would fall upon me once I arrived in Lock Haven. Then our second bride's maid arrives. We get picked up and begin out 4hour drive through the moutians to Lock Haven.

We arrive with much to do. The rehersal and dinner were the night before and we sent the groomsmen out on errands... That involved lazer tag somehow. Men! Everything was set and well thought out. But the hard part was in the morning. Rise and shine to a bright, beautiful day! The groomsmen got there and I sent my minions to work! Everyone knew there place and what needed to be done. Wow, the power of good preperation. Anywho the ceremony was in the Reitz's backyark. The bridal party over looked the guests below as we ate on the balcony. It had a very rennisance feel to it, like how the king and queen would over look their kingdom.

After dinner, a daoist preist that Micheal spent nearly 2 months with on a random moutian in China studing martial atrs with came and did a blessing for them. Not many people can say they've had that happen to them!

Sarah, Micheal's little sister looked amazing as the maid of honor. Her job was to watch over the ring. And she did not let it out of her hand all morning!!! We spent the days at the beaches, shopping, exploring, watching movies and relaxing. Oh, and the long night before the party finishing up party favors and center pieces. We spent these few days as a family. Not just as siblings... but as one cohiesive family. No bickering. No sour attitudes. Just apperciating the time we have together. I think this is because we are getting less and less time together over the years now that everyone is so far away.

The history geek in me just wants to point out the fighter planes that were outside the baquet hall the Luau was in. There was a fighter hawk, and one of my favorites the North American F-82 (Twin Mustang) It was a long rang escort aircraft for the most part. Anywho, more than most people want to know... but once again, the geek in me takes over.

Tomorrow I'm leaving for PA. I'm in a wedding, and so excited. Not too sure what I got myself into. I'm pretty sure Jess has plenty for us to do once we get there. But for now, I just wish my laundry would dry so I can finish packing. That's it for now. Vanilla Gorillas, take another victory. I have been waiting all summer for September to roll around, and here we are. Right now I am going over my several check lists... what might I need? For this week and next. This weekend is my niece's first birthday party. My sister has been planning this day since, well, since the day baby Delaney was born. (I think they planned this party more than the wedding) So my dress is in my suit case and here we go!

My schedule this week is the strangest it has been in ages. I don't think I've ever been away from Epcot so much in the past 4 years! (If you don't count the times I've been cast at Fant!) On top of it all, next week I'm leaving for Lock Haven, PA. What might be doing in the middle of the Penn State forest, in a beautifull Maroon dress...? Mud? Bugs? Yeah. But I get to see my best friend walk down the aisle as the autumn leaves fall around her. *sigh*

Cali: Thurs-Sunday

Studios: Mon

China: Tues

Global Training Team: Wed

PA: Thurs-Sun

What more can I ask for? Ok, maybe a road trip to GA to see Little Prince Wesley... :)

8.31.09

Time to sit and recap life.

This month has been intense. But I've got much more to come.

The government has "ran out of money" for student loans this year. So I guess that means I'm taking a semester off. Not my choice, but there's not much I can do. 12 credit hours away, and I can't seem to finish.

But last week I had a visit from my 2 favorite little girls! Thank you, thank you, thank you once again for my gift. It is so sweet!!!

My training is in full swing. I've got 9 more days of training scheduled so far. And very few in China. Makes me sad. But a much needed break. I cannot believe I got to do my two favorite things in one week. Last week, I got to "save the world" at Hollywood Studios. Pink Spandex is in, just sayin'. I also made an appearance over at Fantasmic! for two shows. I will always consider the island my home, and I always count my blessings when I get to be there. Even if it rains... or someone in a big yellow dress whacks me in the face with a banner. Its still home. And its always a sad day to see empty mirrors because people are let go for silly reasons. (yes, its been a sad week)

Enough of the sad stuff! The fall softball season ha started, and last week the Vanilla Gorillas took a victory! (over the castle show team, muhahaa) We lost a few players this season, but picked up some pretty good people in the mix. Now, I think our team is stronger than ever and ready to take on what ever comes at us! Division champs 2 seasons in a row? I hope so. Come one come all tonight at the Wide World of Sports. 9:30pm field 25.

Last week was also Laura's bachelorette party. I took her to the airport this morning. It's time to see Xavior before they ship out to Hawaii for the next few years. It seems to be a trend around here that the best people who come and go... My roomate is leaving for Europe in a few weeks... I wonder if I could fit in her carry on?? Oh wait, I'll be over the 50lb limit.

I'm still in rut on what I should get Jessie for her wedding... You would think a bridesmaid should be better at this. But I'm at a loss. And I'm still running around before I leave for California next week. Of coarse I work straight until then and from the day I get back from Cali until the day I leave for Pittsburgh. Oh what to do!? I think I need a vacation from my vacations :)

More updates after the game!

8.10.09

I assume my computer must be slower than 300 other peoples' computers because unfortunatly I will not be doing the Candle Light Prossessional this year as I have in the years past. I was up (on my day off mind you) at 7:45am waiting for 8am to roll around. Of coarse I was at my computer and ready when the clock ticked 8. Now with the thousand other people who were on the HUB at that time for some reason it was running horribly slow. And so, I was not one of the first 300 people for sign up for an Alto I spot... what? 1,200 person chior and I denied within the first 12 min. Sad day.
I've been waiting. And wishing. And yet, still waiting and I don't see the light at the end of this tunnel. I just found out that my fafsa has been denied for next term, so who knows when I'll graduate now! I've lived in FL for 4 years and I am still not considered a resident. Who thinks of these qualifications?! I mean, really!

Tonights softball scrimmage was a hit! We had two hours set aside for us tonight on the cast field. I'm not too sure whats going on for this season... and now Sara and I are scouring our woredrobes for something to wear for tomorrow's audition. This part is the worst and most time consuming!! I know every girl likes to play dress up, but to feel like nothing is good enough. I mean you have to have that perfect balance between looking good and not "trying too hard". This usually means a good dress that is flattering to YOUR figure... not too tight, and not limp around the edges. Oi. I think Sara is on outfit number 7. We have this grad idea that if nothing good happens, we are going to the October audition as one of those crazy people who get done up and down for an open call. Yes, there are crazy people who show up with the hair, make-up, even home made outfits thinking they will get a fitting. Oi. Well, wish us luck!

8.5.09

Congrats Cally! You will be missed!

Cally, I do have to say: This opportunity was given to the perfect person. I believe you are the most kind and genuine person I have ever met. It’s the big-sister in you… it’s the party planner in you… it’s the princess in you. I know that no matter where your tour takes you, you’re gonna make the most out of everything. I am so happy for you! Please, just take it all in. Oh, and we better get up-dates along the way. You will be missed!!!

This week has been crazy already! I've been back less than a week and I have an entirely new kitchen! It is beautiful :) Sara is home from her tour. And it's nice to have a roomate again. But our wing of the house will be empty again when she leaves for her next contract; Europe! Now, What country should I go visit her in?? Paris, France?? London, England?? hmmm Maybe I should just stick to the states.

I love DCE events! I had a nice easy-smeezy special event on Sunday. Private photo-shoot with some soap star, super model wife and 3 kids... hahaha why me? Who knows! Anywho. There may be another event on Thursday. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed. But untill I hear word I'm going to continue my "plate art". Oh yes. We've (China and Norway princesses) gotten to the point where we began to make princess faces out of paper plates. *I think we could compete with some 3 yr olds :)* but they are the funniest things ever.

Sleep would be nice.

How many days until passes can be used again?! Longest month, ever.

Oh! And lets talk about NO down time... New set location = No fun (you'll see)

7.31.09

Let the craziness begin!

Tomorrow new schedules drop, and I am excited to see what new and fun things will happen. Oh! And no fear, I am not leaving. (just in case if I worried anyone) I am going to be a trainer! So I am going to start training, to train. ummm complicated I know.

Last week Encore! preformed in three amazing nights of shows! In total, we raised $33,500 for The United Arts of Central Florida. Next year our beneficiary will be The Make-a-Wish Foundation. I am very excited about this because Disney has always worked very well with them and I think they will go a long way to promote next years’ show. Any who, I have a few links from all sorts of sources if you would like the jist of the show.

Now let’s get to it. I’ve been out of town since the last show night. At Saturday night performance I decided that I wanted to go home and see my mother. So Sunday morning I was dropped off at the airport and hopped on the first open flight to Chicago. About three hours later, I had my cousin pick me up and ask my mom to watch Lucky, her pup. I call her on my way saying I had picked up work and that I was on my lunch break. Instead of Lucky running into the house like she always does, I walk in. haha if only I could have gotten a picture of her face at that very moment.

I spent a few days in the city. My first at 26th and Diversy… If you’ve never been to the federal court building, I don’t recommend going just for kicks. But the Picasso out front is something you have to see if you’ve never been to the city. There were a few highlights to knowing the city so well. I can find my way home from just about anywhere. If you drive west far enough, you'll always run into the Lake. I just really miss UIC. Never thought I would say it, but I really miss it more and more I visit the ciry. On that note, I just want to say how grateful for all that my life has become. I see how my life would have been if I had never left. I am just not that person. I can’t sit still. I need to know that there is something bigger than just me. To see people be nice to one another and not expect something in return. To have friends with passion. To have passion. To have music. Dance. Understanding. Diversity. To understand one another’s diversity. To embrace our differences and yet have one thing in common. No matter what it is that brings us together, we walk this path united. It’s an amazing feeling to finally feel like you don’t have to stand alone in the big world of ours. “Fly high and proud.” “We’ve only just begun to live…”

a few links from Revolution!

The Winner Takes It All - LuLu's solo - from Mama Mia
Let It Be - Colecta and Antony's solos
Diva Medley - Sharie, Stefanie, and Fance's solo
70’s Prom Night - another great number

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v8.nonxt5.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D2db3b22e3f0c1aaf%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331270430%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D5C3C4584CC6AD95A124C5796D9B2594BD7F000DE.34232E4E26EEC848A123B6D20E15C1A340EA52B0%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D2db3b22e3f0c1aaf%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3D5HSBmQPu5uRAKceY9-pQ-R0Zoc0&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

7.20.09

-Sebastian at the Zoo-

Music Makes the World Go Round

If you’ve never gotten lost in a song, try it. Close your eyes forget about everything around you; forget that there are bills or work tomorrow… Forget those who care only for themselves. Forget the names on that list you weren’t on. Go ahead and listen to the music. Sing from your gut. Let the breath of life fill you and give the world the gift of your song. Then let the rhythm move your body, or just hold tight to the ones you love. For once, just feel. Remember: make your own kind of music.

Today marks a day where I finally get to move up in the company! I’m so excited. I’ve waited 4 years for this! There have been some pretty cool things that have happened to me; Christmas filming(s), parades, specials events, new shows, cool specially trained rolls. Now, I get the chance to leave behind all that I’ve learned. Pass my knowledge; pass the torch. I just wonder when I start?!

7.4.09

Birthday wishes to one of our favorite friends!

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v11.nonxt1.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D3d8bb47e2111a64a%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331270430%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D1E4CDD0D1226A5383AEFC7CE42511C57F0D7A63.16CD645CC7685025D4C452D82DC1EC1847D24F37%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D3d8bb47e2111a64a%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DoFZn9zpMx-1piPlB86QpqF2iRA8&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Disney’s cast choir and orchestra in Revolution. Last year, we were able to donate nearly $30,000 to the United Arts of Central Florida. This year the concert will be held in the World Showplace at Epcot. Revolution is all about music. And the power music has to move people, to heal the souls, and to bring people together for the greater good. The 60’s and 70’s brought a new wave of music to the world and in it; a cry for hope and change. Since Encore! is all about helping one another it is fit to write a show to fit our cause. I stole this from one of my favorite comedians…
“hell, all liberals... if we just all got together and had this big too much information, go there voice; if we just went and did it. That would equal power. And that power would equal change. And that change would equal a revolution.”
Think about it. And help our cause. If nothing else, be a sponsor. Please, order tickets in advance and make sure you print out your parking passes prior to the show. Enjoy and just check us out at http://encorecentral.org/

Adventures of 1719.
Everyday seems to be a new adventure in our house. A few days ago my roommate came home with a Lb of shrimp, heads and all! Of course, w

ho get recruited to slice and dice? Moi! Then someone decided that screwing a table into the dry-wall without fining a stud was a good idea. Hmmm spackle and touch up paint have been our new found friends. Sara has 4 more weeks left of her tour in China before she can come home… and our wing of the house seems so empty. I keep thinking I want to paint. (but what color?) And we are getting a new kitchen! I think it is time to get some sleep. Check out this video. It will make you feel good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-n4bSTvsWvM

6.24.09

Time to celebrate!

Your Vanilla Gorillas are the new Donald Duck Division Softball Champions; with an amazing 11-1 record! Or just as lost as ever…

To new adventures:

scout new territories.

your heart is your map,

follow it.find the flag.

run real fast...

breach their barricades.

don't let the enemy spot you.

if they do,

run faster.

and be clever.

give them nothing.

take from them everything.

don't look back.

take no prisoners!

run faster...

they're still chasing you.

feel it deep down.

the energy you give.

the pain you take.

the glory you'll attain.

cross that line.

with familiar colors in sight...

one last jump.

then sprint a little faster.

and when you make it...

victory will be yours.

6.13.09

Another fantastic night at Fantasmic! Twice in one week. I miss the old days… 5 nights a week on that island. I do have to say, even being away for so long, it is still my home; still my family. From the slums of last week where nothing could go right to the amazing events of the past few days I see that we are given such terrible cards so that we appreciate the good. Even when the deck seems stacked, in favor of the not so pleasant things in life, the house always wins. Let’s recap some of the positive!

1.) First off, just to have people who care enough to visit, or even call me make my day. I was told by a good friend of mine; “friends are family you choose.” I got to spend the better half of last week with my good friends from GA and their 7 yr old little boy, Wesley. Watched a little Illuminations, Spectro… had a few visitors .

2.) We are in the mist of Star Wars Weekends; my favorite time of year. I especially love our Sunday nights! Today I had a fun-filled day at Jedi Training Academy. Not to mention who graced our presence after show the other day. Celine Dion. What?!

3.) Alan B. Shepard Choir was here! Nova was the seed of everything I am today. Four years in the making in high school, then I took everything I learned, everything I loved to college and it led me here. There is so much I have accomplished. My favorite and most rewarding is Fantasmic! For four years now I have been telling Fal, come to Disney and I WILL be doing f! Here he is, choir and all. And what do I see from the boat? An entire section stood up and cheered. I have never been so over whelmed from show in my life.

4.) Thank you Fallon.

5.) Thanks to all my girls who came out for the m&g.

6.) Vanilla Gorillas 3-1 in the play offs.

7.) Encore is going to be amazing this year!

Tomorrow is the last day of SSW of the year... And I'm lucky enough to be at Studios. (In pink spandex!) I am sure I will run into Lynda Skywalker at some point. I wonder if she knows shes kinda crazy?? Anywho, I have much more in my mind... but will discuss another time.

5.22.09

This is a story of hope.

In the great world that we live in, there is a balance. Such as the sun brings great life into the world, but does it not also blind us with its light? What of the moon? It reminds us of how alone we are in the world, even among the sky filled with stars. But does not the moon also guide us in the late hours of night? The balance brings order. But what happens when fate forgets to level the playing field and you stand alone in the middle of the storm? You can sit there and feel sorry for yourself… Let the pain take hold like a fever. The sadness grows in your body - In your heart. The anger swells to the point where you feel as though you might explode. Why are you so helpless to do anything? You fight with everything in you. You fight for your family, the people you love. And yet there is nothing you can do. You spend your entire life saving people. And here you stand, unable to ease the pain of those you love. I keep reminding myself that there is far too much to be grateful for in this world to remain in sadness. I once heard that courage was not the absence of fear; But rather the decision that there is something more important. Everything is a choice. And those decisions color your personality until you illuminate the world around you.

I choose not to be sad.
I choose to smile at children, even when tears linger in my eyes.

I choose to stand strong; for my family, for my aunt.

I choose hope.

5.17.09

Kristin and Dan's wedding on the beach was amazing! Everything a girl could dream of - and more. Family and freinds arrived from everywhere! I love to see the bride and groom's parents and grandparents because; one day, when they are that old they will be JUST like them! You can see that Kristin will be beautiful, well after see loses the tiara! I am so happy for those two! Today was just beautiful. The rain stayed away and the sun just lit up the horizon as it began to set. The best part was the fact that my friends are all so wacky and crazy, and love to dance! So we danced the night away... as I took a video log of our little adventure. Just a litte taste of a wedding fit for a princess.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v3.nonxt6.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D7b72f442adea0706%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331270430%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D783659A58375F315C05745F62C20590D6A8E1118.36554FC6630674B8853496B54259C826D7EFAD29%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D7b72f442adea0706%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DLG0C37EF-WoRImNT6PA4QY_m8-4&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

5.10.09

The move is over! I gave up my key the other day. I thought that nothing could feel better. But that was quickly proven wrong. Sunday started out like any other. Hot... and getting hotter. I had a wonderful little suprise when Tiffany (one of my closest friends) who moved away last year to Chicago for bigger and better things called me around my lunch break just to catch up and see how I was. It was so nice to hear her voice... But it kinda made me sad because I remembered how much I missed her and wish she still here in FL. But it passed me by, I did another set. Then, as I walked out to my 2nd to last set I spot Cally. She stops me mid-way from the corner to my line and she says, "M- I brought you a gift to bring your family honor..." she points behind me, and there stands Tiffany. I stand stunned -All I could say was, "no surprises... no surprises..." And as she wrapped her arms around me, I just start crying. I must have looked like an idiot. But I was so happy. Of coarse she points out the fact I have a line and I get to it, but the first half dozen families I was shaking. They spent well over a set just watching and laughing. My memories with her are just un beatable. The craziness we had at Fantasmic! The random nights at our favorite places. All the while knowing there was always someone at your side - right or wrong. Now, I'm not sure if I can handle her leaving already. Watching my best friend walk away is one of the hardest things I've ever done. But she has moved on to the greater world of acting and I've drawn my path down here and I need to see it through. Finally Sunday, after all the craziness, I came out my last set and there was my two favorite girls!! It just proves that this is my home. I see - somewhere, I've made a difference. And no matter how hard it is, this is the path meant for us. Our stories will cross again... Soon, I hope.

The rest of the week has been spent running around with the Fish. work/play/play/work... A whole lot of laughs, and a few tears. Ah, but I am so excited to have TWO days off in a row!!! Sunday/Monday off the ENTIRE summer!! I love having senority. Its late, and I'm going to enjoy the water parks with Earl in the morning. :)

4.26.09

Packing. Moving is a lot more work than I thought it was going to be! I love my house, but this chapter has to come to a close. Every night, I can see wishes from my house. The best place to see it is the far end of my pool. And every night it feels like Illuminations is attacking my house. It is beautiful and wonderful... but I will not miss this years New Year's fireworks everyday the entire WEEK before the new year going off with the perimeter countdown to midnight. No no. And I love my nice forest, and little development in the area. But I will really enjoy the Starbucks right around the corner at the new Condo in Hunters Creek. I will miss the townhouse. I will miss the random conversations with my roomates. I will miss the garage... but not cutting the lawn! Most of all I will miss having Magic Kingdom as my backyard. But this is a step forward. A new house with two of my girls. A room twice the size of my own now, and a walk in closet. Could a girl ask for more? But what shall I paint my room? hmmm...

Oh! Someone should have warned me, the bed is the LAST thing to move. haha. Well, heres to another night of sleeping on the floor!

4.23.09

Saturday was Meredith and Bryan's Wedding! It was beautiful. Simple and Classic. I know she tried to stay away from the Disney Princess feel... since we have to live with it everyday. But of coarse she danced to So This Is Love from Cinderella. Aside from the long drive, I really enjoyed the day. *I don't remember the last Saturday I've had off* But it was just what I needed right before the load of finals that befell apon me this week. The best part was you can totally tell they wanted to taylor the wedding to fit them. And outside we went for the garder toss. Here stands this giant rock climbing wall from Bryan to throw from.

And so I must stop proctastinating and study for my finals!

4.7.09

Every year on April 7th I make a dedication to all the things I am greatful for. Today is that day of days I often think about... many moons ago. The most wonderful few precious moments that I would give anything to have back. Some times I dream about it, relive every detail in my mind. There are times I can't breathe. But then it passes me by. But I do have to say I am greatful for the amazing things I have gotten to do/to learn/to have this past year. All the people I have met. And of coarse the amazing friends and family I have are more than I can ever ask for. Everyone in my life goes above and beyond the call of duty. Just today I was telling a good friend, you need to take it easy once and a while. Always going and going... trying to save to world. You need to let someone save you time and again.

So my plea. Take the time. Everyday. Think of a reason to be greatful and thank those around you. And at the same time, be good to you self!

4.03.09

Today was one of the best days I've had in a very long time. We went to DHS in the morning. It was one of those morings where you really had to kick yourself to get going. But then we were off! We hit up all the favs. We even visited some power rangers. *my favorite thing to do at studios* Wesley even got pulled into the car by the rangers to get a group picture!! And then we had lunch at Mama Melrose. Of coarse, I had to cut it short and leave for a few hours because I had to go to class. But by the time I got back, Mere was there and we rode rockin' before waiting for Fant!

Story time with Essick

So tonight, the 9 year old little girl we were with told me she liked to read. But not to tell anybody. I asked why not. And she replies; "I'm known as the dancer girlie type, and if anyone found out I liked to read I won't be so popular." I was just shocked to begin with... How girls grow up and the level of self confidence a kid has got to have now days to make it through adolence. I respond with, "It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. You just be you, and people will like you." -"But people see me as popular..." and I cut her off to make a Hannah Montana reference to how everyone loves Hannah because shes famous. But people don't look twice at Miley. Miley is the SAME person as Hannah and just as cool, but some people don't see that. And if they don't, they are not worth your time!

3.31.09

This week has been long. First off, I love most everything Scott Allen has written. But this song hits deep down... Home is right. I have been so caught up in everything around me when I was younger. And I never let life lead me. But life has lead me home. Right here. And I am just enjoying everything around me. You will be loved just for being the person that you are. Hard concept to learn. But it is true. I'm just so blessed I figured it out before it was too late.

3.20.09

It is so strange how all the stress of the world can be on you... and you, fighting just to stay a float - to stay in the game. Everything can be changing at the same time. But the moment you give up, you're sent a little something to remind you of all the good out there. The reason why you keep up the good fight! Just that feeling of being something greater than yourself... is all I could ever ask for.

-Story time with Essick-
I've been around for a long time now. And I have my little ones. Yes, MY little ones! I claim them. They are those who have touched my heart... More than they will ever know. But today, I saw a little girl named Morgan. I first met her about 3 years ago at Epcot. She comes a few times a year. Always to see me, but more so to see my big red friend. Morgan loves him!!! Always has. They share secrets. Ones both me and her mom have never heard. She believes. She believes in me. She believes in Mushu. She believes M- is my very best friend. And most importanly, she believes in herself now. She just turned 8 this week, and no longer listens to the kids at school who make fun of her because she is different from the other kids. See Morgan and M- have something in comon. "the bully was wrong, not everyone has 5 fingers..." Its hard enough to endure adolecence. But to go through it like that. I am just amazed to see how 3 years later, she has become a beautiful amazing little girl. One with more personality than many of the college kids in my classes this semester.

As for now, I am happy. Restless still. But happy.
This just makes my decision this week so much harder!!
Do I worry about school...
Work...
or my little ones?

3.14

Pi Day!!!

Here's a picture of baby Delaney!!! ------>

There is just not enough time in each day, each week... each month to get everything you need to do in. Just not enough time. This balance act I've got going on between work and school isn't working out so much this semester. I may take the next term off... That would be amazing! I've come to the comclusion, that I just want to work. Its not that I am lazy and want to get out of it. But I really like the extra income, and I'm just over school. I work 40+ hours a week and still Ace-ing all my classes. I don't feel challenged anymore. But I know I need that silly piece of paper to secure my future. Lame. Everything I know, I've learned through expierence. Thats another reason why I love working so much. Arg. What to do?

Get through this semester first!

3.4.09

Cali Trip Update!

This week was jam packed! Thursday morning I woke up to my phone - Studios needed a Pink, so I got up uber early after spending the whole night packing... did 4 sets before leaving to pick up my travel buddy :) and heading to MCO. (Orlando Airport) We arrived in LA Orange County pretty late but still managed to do some running around that night. Of coarse the next morning we got up bright and early and drove down to Hollywood. Saw the sign, went shopping on Rodeo Dr., passed through Beverly Hills, went to the Kodak theatre and then headed to North Hollywood to get ready for our audition. This one was just like every other Disney Audition I've ever been to. Our WDW crew was sizable and you would tell we all had experience. We had to wait around for a few because of call-backs... but then we made our way to LA to see Baby Delaney!! That night was amazing. It was so nice to see my sister, and her new baby.

*I'm going to start on a side note: My sister and I have had our ups and downs. To be honest, we couldn't be more different. I know that has always been a reason why we've never got along. But this trip has really shown me the bonds of family and no matter how much you want to kill them... deep down you love them ten times more.*

The next day we went to Sana Monica Pier. Shopped for hours, and went to the beach. Simply a beautiful day out. I couldn't have been more relaxed. No school, no work. Just friends and family... thats all I could ever ask for. Delaney was soooooo good. Not a fuss. I mean, what 6 month old baby would just chill like that? Delaney!

Sat night we went to dinner for Del's birthday. (Del my brother-in-law, note: Elaine is my sister. Thus, Delaney) We went for sushi and sake! Another nice relaxed night. But it ended too soon and we had to head back out to Anahiem so that way we could get an early start. The morning came, so off we went! Disneyland here we come. Let me just say I don't think we could have done anyting more in just one day! Between our one-on-one time with the Jedi and Princesses... Hischool Musical 3 w/ Chirpie and Fantasmic! at night on top of a few rides. It was amazing! The next morning we grabbed breakfast with Greggy then got right back on that plane to come home. Just in time for school and work... eeew.

2.14.09

Current events have brought me to the conclusion that sometimes you need to let go so that way the winds fate can take over and blow you in the direction. I have no doubt that each step I take is the right path for me, because it is my own. I have always been an independant person... maybe sooner than I should have been. But life have fallen into place. And I am amazed at how the day-dreams of this little girl, who thought she could save the world, could come true. Not By force, but by letting go. Don't hang on to all those things that will bring you down like anger and confusion. Like Yoda says, "Fear is the path to the darkside. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." So heres to letting go!
