9.27.09

The weekend was full of all kinds of surprises. It starts in Pittsburgh. About 7hours in the airport... And surprisingly refreshing. It was nice to take some time and collect my thoughts. Plan the duties I knew would fall upon me once I arrived in Lock Haven. Then our second bride's maid arrives. We get picked up and begin out 4hour drive through the moutians to Lock Haven.

We arrive with much to do. The rehersal and dinner were the night before and we sent the groomsmen out on errands... That involved lazer tag somehow. Men! Everything was set and well thought out. But the hard part was in the morning. Rise and shine to a bright, beautiful day! The groomsmen got there and I sent my minions to work! Everyone knew there place and what needed to be done. Wow, the power of good preperation. Anywho the ceremony was in the Reitz's backyark. The bridal party over looked the guests below as we ate on the balcony. It had a very rennisance feel to it, like how the king and queen would over look their kingdom.

After dinner, a daoist preist that Micheal spent nearly 2 months with on a random moutian in China studing martial atrs with came and did a blessing for them. Not many people can say they've had that happen to them!

Sarah, Micheal's little sister looked amazing as the maid of honor. Her job was to watch over the ring. And she did not let it out of her hand all morning!!! Here is just a taste of the pictures that I love from last weekend:

Micheal & Jessica's Autumn Wedding

Many things begin on a wedding day.
The first and most important,

is the beginning of a new life.

One where two paths meet...
And travel on together,

Forever.

Note to self: never forget how amazing my sister can plan a party!
Not a second was unplanned this trip. We spent the days at the beaches, shopping, exploring, watching movies and relaxing. Oh, and the long night before the party finishing up party favors and center pieces. We spent these few days as a family. Not just as siblings... but as one cohiesive family. No bickering. No sour attitudes. Just apperciating the time we have together. I think this is because we are getting less and less time together over the years now that everyone is so far away.

The history geek in me just wants to point out the fighter planes that were outside the baquet hall the Luau was in. There was a fighter hawk, and one of my favorites the North American F-82 (Twin Mustang) It was a long rang escort aircraft for the most part. Anywho, more than most people want to know... but once again, the geek in me takes over.

Tomorrow I'm leaving for PA. I'm in a wedding, and so excited. Not too sure what I got myself into. I'm pretty sure Jess has plenty for us to do once we get there. But for now, I just wish my laundry would dry so I can finish packing. That's it for now. Vanilla Gorillas, take another victory. Hip Hip, Horray!

"Leavin' on a jet plane..."

Californina here I come! I have been waiting all summer for September to roll around, and here we are. Right now I am going over my several check lists... what might I need? For this week and next. This weekend is my niece's first birthday party. My sister has been planning this day since, well, since the day baby Delaney was born. (I think they planned this party more than the wedding) So my dress is in my suit case and here we go!

My schedule this week is the strangest it has been in ages. I don't think I've ever been away from Epcot so much in the past 4 years! (If you don't count the times I've been cast at Fant!) On top of it all, next week I'm leaving for Lock Haven, PA. What might be doing in the middle of the Penn State forest, in a beautifull Maroon dress...? Mud? Bugs? Yeah. But I get to see my best friend walk down the aisle as the autumn leaves fall around her. *sigh*

Cali: Thurs-Sunday
Studios: Mon
China: Tues
Global Training Team: Wed
PA: Thurs-Sun
What more can I ask for? Ok, maybe a road trip to GA to see Little Prince Wesley... :)
